B. 16 August, 1943.

C. 334 Squadron.

D. 1000 hours.

E. Southeast of Paris.

F. Good.

G. FW 190.

H. Two FW 190's Destroyed.

I. I was flying as Postin Blue 2. We were Southeast of Paris when I observed an FW 190 below me to the right. I informed Blue 1 that I was going down. I opened fired at about 450 yards from astern, closing to about 100 yards. I observed many strikes and the a/c blew up. I was then at 25,000 feet. I pulled up to the port side of the bombers to reform. Another FW 190 was positioning himself for an attack on the Fortis, so I fired a burst from 30 degrees at about 250 yards. He took no evasive action as I fired another burst how I saw many strikes. The a/c rolled over and dove straight down. I was able to watch him all the way down. He crashed in a field South of Paris. I was then at about 15,000 feet. I climbed back to about 25,000 feet, heading for home. I claim two FW 190's Destroyed.
