" I was flying White Three in Icejug Squadron. We were headed North from Frankfurt when we saw three 109's at 3 o'clock, low, to us. Red flight went down first and separated one of the three e/a. I immediately broke to the left after the other two. I took what I thought was number two and my No.4 man took the other. The first time I fired I was in a turn and about 500 yds. from him and observed a few strikes. He then straightened out and I closed in on him, firing a long burst at about 200 yds. I saw large pieces flying off from him and also smoke trailing from both sides of him. He then turned slowly to the left, going down. The e/a never straightened out. I followed him down to about 7,000' and saw him go in. My wing man was after the second e/a all the time this was happening. I claim One Me 109 D estroyed . "

We accept electronic/scans or originals of pictures and paper records. A General Order could be an award document that contains information on many servicemen. Special Orders may contain transfers or other information. Flight records, accident reports, maintenance logs, after action reports, pilot encounter reports, diaries and biorgraphies; all of these types of documents help us support or mission: preserving your history!
