i. I was flying Keyworth White 1. We rendezvoused with bombers North of Langeoog Island at 34,000. I saw some Me-110's below at 26,000 ft and to the rear right of the bombers. I made an astern attack on the three e/aand picked the first one. He made a slight turn left and as I hit him with a long burst two chutes came out. I broke off the attack and went under a Ju 88. As I pul led up by him he fired his rocket guns at me but did not hit me. I zoomed up to the rear of the bombers and saw 6 Me-110's behind them in formation at 23,000. I rolled over to come in behind them and all six dove away to the left. I followed them to abo ut 15,000 feet before coming into range. They were flying abreast. I closed on the third from the left and opened fire. I saw numerous hits on the fuselage and right engine. His right wing collapsed and one man bailed out. While I was firing at this o ne, the e/a to the right pulled into a sharp left break and both men bailed out. Lt. D.F. Smith will confirm the first claim, but i was by myself the rest of the time. I claim 3 Me-110's destroyed. Robert
